RUINS OF PALMYRA ATOLL

These structures are old tie-up locations for large ships in the lagoon.

This old airplane wreck sits near the runway on Cooper Islet.

There are remains of old war time bunkers on the atoll since the Navy used it in World War II. Also, we saw recent remains of a fish processing plant which was set up not too long ago, but is  now out of business.
